Poppy Seed Ham and Cheese Sandwiches
Ingredients
1 package slider-style rolls*
1 lb. sliced or chipped ham
1 lb. Swiss or American cheese slices
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. mustard
2 Tbsp. poppy seeds (optional but fun!)
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. dry onion flakes
Preheat oven to 350. Take the tops off of the rolls. Do not separate the bottoms of the rolls. Line the roll bottoms in a 9 x 13" pan. Fill with ham and cheese. Put the top of the rolls back on the sandwiches. Mix the butter, brown sugar, mustard, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, and onion flakes in a sauce pan and bring to a boil for 2 minutes.
Pour sauce over the top of the rolls. Bake for 20 minutes.
*Martin's Potato Rolls are the best! If these are not available to you locally, I don't see an affordable option to order these online. I recommend that you use your favorite slider rolls from your local bakery or grocery store. Hamburger rolls work just fine!
OR Make your own potato rolls (from Taste of Home). I have never tried this potato roll recipe, so let me know if you do.
