Bubble Pizza

2 - 12ounce packages buttermilk biscuits (or equivalent)
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef, browned
1 -15 ounce can pizza sauce (can use spaghetti sauce)
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese

Brown ground beef. Drain. Stir in pizza sauce.
Cut biscuits into quarters and layer loosely on the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
You want them to touch and for some to be on top of each other - this gives the bubble effect.
The entire bottom does not have to be covered - it's ok if you see some holes to the bottom of the pan.

Spread beef and sauce mixture over top of biscuits.

Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until biscuits are baked through. I test the center of the pan - touch a biscuit in the center of the pan: Does the dough spring back or does it  remain indented when you touch it?  Bake a bit longer if it remains indented - gooey biscuits are not very tasty! (Ask me how I know...)

Add cheese and bake another 5 minutes until cheese melts.
This is a kid and teenager approved recipe. I have made it for groups of teens/kids and they have always loved it. It is certainly a treat at our house!
