See! I have engraved you on the palm of my hand!

Isaiah 49:16

A few reflections on this verse, from my perspective:

• Engraving is durable, if not permanent. 
• Engraving makes a mark, leaves an inscription
• Initials engraved on a tree remain even as the tree grows.
• Special dates or names are engraved to remember people we dearly love.
• A hand is always within reach, and within sight.
• A palm of a hand is a place you can hold something close to you to protect.
• A hand can be held next to the heart.
• A hand can be kissed.

The promise of being engraved on the palm of the hand of Almighty God, is one to hang tightly to!

He will NEVER LET GO!
