Young Writer's Week - Anonymously Amazing

Written by my 12 year old son

Somebody I know, that I am choosing to keep anonymous, has a disease called sleep apnea. This disease causes your throat to close more than normal when you are sleeping, which makes you snore.
Sometimes when they sleep, their throat closes completely, which causes them to wake up. They wake up during the night quite often and that makes them tired during the day.
Now, one random day, none in particular, this person was having a rough day. Their favorite song came on the radio: “Blessings” by Laura Story.  The song lyrics go like this:
Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops? What if your healing comes through tears? What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know you're near? What if trials of this life are your mercies in disguise?”
This person realized, after hundreds of times of hearing it,  “What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know you're near? What if trials of this life are your mercies in disguise?”
This person knew that God was speaking to them through those lyrics because exactly what those lyrics said, is what happened. A thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know you’re here. What if the trials of this life, are your mercies in disguise?
Having no sleep was definitely a trial. Today, this person has a machine called a CPAP machine (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) that opens up their airway when they sleep. They are also getting about eight hours of sleep a night and are completely recharged in the morning (mostly). God shows us amazing things we have never seen before in the most common things. God is good.
